-Coca Cola Scholars Program: The Coca Cola Scholars Foundation is awarding $3 million dollars in scholarships to high school seniors who demonstrate leadership, commitment to community, and academic achievement. -Elks National Foundation Scholarships: The Elks offer several scholarships for high school seniors. Visit www.elks.org/enf/scholars for details of their programs. Deadlines vary by program.

 

-Vermont Grocer's Association Scholarship Program: Available to all Vermont Grocer's Retail and Associate members who have student employees or employees having a child attending college for the first time in 2013. -NEW Vermont American Legion Scholarships Program: (Deadline April 1, 2015) The American Legion offers  several scholarship programs including the Charles Barber Scholarship, the Ray Greenwood Scholarship, and the Oratorical Contest. Applications and information can be found at the Vermont Legion Website   

-NEWWilliam Randolph Hearst Scholarship: (Deadline October 3, 2014) For students who demonstrate leadership, academic achievement and community involvement. Applicants must have held an office in student government. For information and an application go to the Vermont Principals Association website at www.vpaonline.org and click on Scholarships under Student Activities.

-NEWHoratio Alger Association Scholarship: (Deadline October 25, 2014) This scholarship program provides financial assistance to students throughout the nation who have financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. -NEWPrudential Spirit of Community Awards: (Deadline November 4, 2014) If you have made a difference through volunteering in your community in the past year, you could win $1000.00 and a trip to Washington DC next spring. View the online application form at www.nassp.org/spirit  

-NEWNFIB Young Entrepreneur Award: (Deadline December 18, 2014) Qualified candidates must be operating a small business and be a graduating senior. Visit www.NFIB.com/YEA for more information.

-EXPIREDNational Multiple Sclerosis Society Scholarship Program: (Deadline January 15, 2013) For first time college bound students who have, or have parents who have, MS and who plan to enroll at least half-time. -EXPIREDNew England Federal Credit Union Nursing Scholarships: (Deadline February 28, 2013) Three $3000 scholarships for members of NEFCU applying to, or enrolled in, an accredited undergraduate or graduate nursing program. -EXPIREDHood Sportsmanship Scholarship: (Deadline March 1, 2013) Presented by Hood Milk, the Hood Sportsmanship Scholarship will award three $5000 scholarships to students in each of the New England states. Criteria include status as a high school senior, participation in a varsity sport, plan on attending a two or four year accredited college, have a minimum GPA of

-EXPIREDVermont Lions Hart Award: (Deadline March 8, 2013) A $1000 scholarship for a graduating senior who has a disability and needs financial assistance to attend college. Application available in the guidance office.

-EXPIREDAlice Agney Scholarship for Leadership and Service: (Deadline March 22, 2013) A $2000.00 scholarship to a graduating senior who is selected based on the student's leadership and service to community, academic achievement, and initiative in overcoming a specific challenge. Paper applications are available in the guidance office.

-EXPIREDUniversity Mall Scholarship of Excellence: (Deadline March 29, 2013) Each year University Mall awards $25,000 to five area high school seniors. Each student receives $5,000 toward their first year of college. -EXPIREDVT EPSCoR Native American and First Generation Student Scholarships (Deadline April 1, 2013) Offered to Native American and First Generation students who are entering, or have declared, a STEM major at a Vermont College or University. -EXPIREDAddison County Firefighters Association Scholarship: (Deadline April 1, 2013) For students in Addison County planning on attending college. Applicants must either plan on a career in the fire service, fire protection or prevention, or be the son or daughter of an ACFA firefighter who has at least five years of service or became disabled or died in the line of duty. -EXPIREDVermont Federal Credit Union Scholarship: (Deadline April 5, 2013) Four $2,000.00 scholarships will be awarded to students that are Vermont Federal Credit Union members. -EXPIREDOMYA Scholarship program: (Deadline April 22, 2013) OMYA will award four $1000.00 scholarships to graduating seniors planning to study in the field of science or engineering. Applicants must be accepted to an accredited college or university. Paper applications available in the guidance office.

-EXPIREDGreen Mountain Athletic Association Scholarship: (Deadline April 26, 2013) Requirements: Student has been accepted at an accredited two or four year college, has participated in cross country running and/or track events in grades 11 and 12, has maintained a B average in high school, and shows qualities of good citizenship and sportsmanship. -EXPIREDWinona Smith Scholarship: (Deadline April 30, 2013) A Winona Smith Scholarship grant for $750.00 will be awarded to a male or female student in his or her senior year of high school who has demonstrated an interest in civic participation and community service, who has a need for financial aid, and, who is recommended by a teacher. Applications may be requested by e-mail to sgg7@comcast.net or by calling 802.734.9709. Applications should be submitted by email or by regular mail no later than April 30, 2013.
